Over the past days I have witnessed many young birds out of the nest. There are garden birds of all sorts, most of which are still not conscious of the danger that surrounds them. On one occasion I was close enough to touch one of the birds. Up in the sky there are birds of prey watching, but are usually driven off by Swallows.
You wouldn’t imagine swallows could see off a bird of prey. The crows will dive at a buzzard or heron if they fly over our house.
